Privacy policy
PhotonFuture operates photon-future.com ("the site"). This page explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It covers the corporate site only — our products mymemo.ai and Cobbling are operated by separate US entities with their own privacy policies (see §5 below).
What we don't collect
No third-party advertising trackers. No Google Analytics, Meta pixel, TikTok pixel, or any cross-site pixel. No browser fingerprinting. No account system, so no stored credentials or profile data. No payment processing on this site, so no card or banking data. No social-media embeds that phone home. If you can read this page without clicking anything, nobody learned anything about you beyond what Cloudflare needs to deliver the bytes.
Our analytics provider is GoatCounter. They do not store IP addresses; they
store an 8-hour-rotating hash derived from
(IP + User-Agent + daily salt) used only to deduplicate visitors. No cookies,
no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. Their privacy details: goatcounter.com/help/privacy.

Where data lives
The site is served from Cloudflare Pages. Your visit terminates at the nearest Cloudflare point of presence — typically within your own country or region — not at any PhotonFuture server. We do not operate an origin server in mainland China or anywhere else; Cloudflare's edge is the first and last hop. What Cloudflare sees is governed by their privacy policy.
Products operated by other entities
PhotonFuture is the engineering partner behind two products. They're operated by separate US entities and this policy does not cover them:
- mymemo.ai — operated by mymemo LLC (US). See mymemo.ai/privacy for their policy.
- Cobbling — operated by Cobbling (US). See their site for their privacy policy.
International transfers
We operate across China, Hong Kong, and the United States. Cloudflare's edge handles visitor traffic globally and we rely on Cloudflare's contractual safeguards — their Data Processing Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses — for lawful cross-border flows. Email correspondence is kept with providers that publish a privacy policy and encrypt at rest. PhotonFuture itself does not extract visitor PII out of Cloudflare.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can exercise the following rights regarding data we hold about you:
- China — PIPL Articles 44–47. Access, correction, deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent.
- EU / EEA / UK — GDPR Articles 15–22. The same, plus restriction of processing and the right to object.
- California — CCPA / CPRA. Access, deletion, and the right to opt out of sale. (We do not sell data.)
To exercise any of these, email business@photonfuture.cn with the subject line "Privacy request". We'll acknowledge within two business days and fulfill
within 30 days.
Children
This site is general-purpose and not directed at users under 16. We do not knowingly collect
data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email business@photonfuture.cn and we'll delete it.
Security
HTTPS is enforced via Cloudflare; plain HTTP is redirected. A strict Content Security Policy ships with our P5 launch. No payment data, no user accounts, no password vault — the attack surface is deliberately small. If we ever discover a breach affecting visitor data, we'll post a site banner within 72 hours and email anyone whose personal data is materially implicated.
Changes to this policy
When we update this page we change the "Last updated" stamp at the top of the Legal page. Material changes are also posted as a note on Insights so they show up in the feed and aren't easy to miss.
